Company Formation

In the startup world, it is common to cut corners and move fast. But as it relates to certain legal and administrative matters for forming your company and getting some important operational processes setup, startups should adopt a different mindset: “measure twice, cut once”. This module explores the topic in more detail while also providing an online assessment to determine if you’ve already taken on some risk that needs attention.

Note that some of the content for this module refers to incorporating as a C-corporation. After consulting with your accountant and corporate attorney, you might decide to incorporate as an LLC or even some other structure. Most of the topics and principles covered in this module still apply, regardless of company structure.
